How to Compare Frozen Seafood Quotations
Compare the same product specification before comparing the headline price.
Compare like-for-like specifications
Check species identity, processing, grade, freezing method, net weight, glazing and pack size. Ask the supplier to resolve ambiguous terms in writing.
Confirm the packing breakdown
Record net weight per pack, packs per carton and cartons per shipment. Ask whether weights and quoted quantities use the same basis.
List what each price includes
Ask which freight, insurance, inspection and documentation items are included or excluded. Read the agreed Incoterm and payment terms alongside the quotation.
Resolve differences before accepting
Keep the product specification, supplier, destination and commercial terms together. A lower price for a different grade or packing basis is not a direct comparison.
Prepare your quotation request
Choose reference products, use the specification checklist, then send your requirements. These are purchasing questions; the quotation and signed contract establish your order terms.
